Bordered on three sides by the Moses Cone National Park, Yonalossee is close to some of the best hiking in the Blue Ridge. Combined with the adjacent Julian Price National Park, these two parks offer 7,000 acres of virgin forests and 32 miles of hiking trails to explore. Enjoy mountaintop views from the carriage trails on Rich Mountain, hike the Boone Fork trail around the rushing waters near "The Boulders". Stroll the wide gravel carriage trails around Bass Lake and up to the Moses Cone Mansion.
View the crafts of local mountain artists at the Southern Craft Center at the Moses Cone Mansion or take "The Ghost Hike" at dusk while led by park rangers to explore the history of the Moses Cone family. Rent a canoe on Price Lake or go a bit further down the Blue Ridge Parkway to hike the Tanawa Trail and capture the view from the Linn Cove Viaduct surrounded by rhododendron and wild blueberry groves.
